Daytona and the Book of gold.
The game is centered around quick action, memorization, and hand coordination skills.
A mouse or track pad will be required to play this game.
The story of the game is that you are an impoverished wizard who has come across a spell capable of conjuring magical [gold] coins out of thin air!
Obviously such a spell would solve all of your troubles but the spell is quite difficult. Coins are easily created but they will simply turn in to smoke and vanish unless the mystical gateway can be made stable with the spell.
Speed and accuracy is the only way to stabilize the magic gateway through its different stages (levels).
If you cast your spell too slowly it will never become more stable than it currently is.
I am still working on the part of the game that teaches you how to draw the various shapes. Because that is a rather important part to the game, I can't release it yet for you guys to try.
I managed to beat the game earlier so I'm still excited! After beating the game I felt confident enough to record a demo of me playing through the first 4 levels. All of the voices you hear in the demo are from the game itself and not me talking using the microphone.
The metallic sounds are made as I move the mouse into different shapes. What is cool is that each direction you move makes a different noise so someone sitting beside you can actually tell which shape you drew once they've been exposed to the game for a bit!
The voice on the right is my character reading up to 3 shapes from the spell book that I must draw next. The voice to the left is just encouragement or warning depending on how fast and accurate I currently am.
Each successful shape, in the right order, conjures more [gold] coins that can be heard falling to the table. Each successful shape makes its own sound as it casts and a central voice announces its name.
Lastly, the music begins calm and becomes increasingly dramatic as I get closer to reaching the next level of stability for the gateway.
If I were at 90% and simply stopped casting spells, my progress would slowly drain until I was back at 0%.
I won't drop below the last level I reached, but it means I am farther away from unlocking the next level. Hopefully that makes sense and shows that speed is what is important in this game.
you'll also hear the occasional buzz sound that indicates I failed to draw any shape properly. If I wasn't accurate enough with my shape it won't count.
I am not penalized by drawing a wrong shape, but obviously I wasted valuable time and more of my coins drained away.
Jeremy Kaldobsky's Aprone's Towers of War Audio Games forum page.
A tower defense video game developed by Jeremy Kaldobsky (aka Aprone) for Windows.
This is a stratogy game played on a grid like map.
The map contains a pathway which weaves it's way from bottom to top of the grid.
Upon a signal a bunch of beasties will troop up the path, and for every nasty that makes it to the end the player loses a life.
Fortunately, the player can build a variety of artillery towers on the land around the path which will, ---- hopefully shoot down the unpleasant hoard before they make it to the end.
These include rifle towers, cannon towers and the dreaded micro wave tower!
The business of aggressive building works however is complicated by a rather limited budgit (though shooting down monsters will give more cash), and the need to place towers to best advantage in order to cover the maximum area of the path and take care of the passing ugglies.
The game is stil in beta phase, but already has identifyable sounds for the various squares, several map and other overview commands,
some very evil monster noises and 10 levels to blast through with many more planned.
It also has symple, high contrast graphics to make it more friendly to visually impaired players as well.
The game was developed to be accessible to blind/low vision players in order to bring the tower defense genre to this demographic for the first time.

For those trying to play the game with Windows 7 or Vista, those operating systems do not come with the needed visual basic libraries.
Once you extract the game, search for the file
towersofwar.exe
in the game's directory and then press the applications key and choose the option run as administrator.
If doing this and the game is still not working, install the winkit from Jim Kitchen's website.
That game also uses visual basic, so it should install the needed VB libraries.

Home of Tomb Hunter: Mysteries of the Ancients, public Beta 18.

In this fast action, classic side-scroller, you Are Angela Carter, a daring treasure hunter,
willing to risk everything to recover the long lost Orb of Wisdom.
Her mission will not be an easy one. She must face many deadly magical creatures,
such as Amazon warriors, charging centaurs, zombies, and sword wielding skeletons.
She must avoid such deadly traps as pits of boiling lava, towering flames, metal spikes, deep chasms, and poison darts.
Along the way she can collect gold coins, valuable gems, ancient scrolls, enchanted weapons, and healing potions.
She will also discover dropped weapons and ammo left behind by previous adventurers.
If Angela makes it to the Hall of Wisdom she must face her greatest challenge.
Beta Version 18 has a more realistic analog jump system similar to many popular mainstream console games,
random mood changes in music during game play,
the ability to run and jump over large traps,
and an all new level 2.
When Angela pulls the bronze lever, it will unlock the bronze statue somewhere else in the tomb.
The statues are timed, so you have to get to the statue and open it before the time runs out, or the statue lock will reset,
and you will have to travel back to the correct lever, and pull it again.
The timer is completely random so it is a good idea to get back to the statue as quick as possible.

Eleanor and Earle Robinson, John Bannick, David Brown, Cynthia Geller, and Marcia Morrison's 7-128 Software.
Home of SAPI Voices in our games.
7-128 Software games that are BL rated have always self-voiced as well as worked with JAWS.
But our voice was, well... not shall we say very "elequant".
We've changed that.
Now all of our games that are accessible to gamers who are blind can use the Speech Application Programming Interface (SAPI) voice or voices you already have installed in your Windows computer.
* Our new SAPI capability is in all of our Inspector Cyndi in Newport games.
* It's in 3 very different Tyler memory games: Kim's Game, Snowflake, and Orchestra.
* It's in3 Woople word games: Definitions, Synonyms and Antonyms, and Scrambled Sayings.
* And it's in all of our Pizza Games for children.
* And, of course, in our GameBook and PizzaBox.
Furthermore, when you install any GameBook game purchased after 1 August, 2010, your GameBook and all of your previously purchased GameBook games are automatically upgraded to SAPI, totally FREE!
Similarly, when you install any new Pizza game purchased after 1 August, 2010, your PizzaBox and all of your previously purchased Pizza games are automatically upgraded to SAPI, again, totally FREE.

a gamebook series like no other, a wide-ranging interactive fantasy that will ultimately include more than 37 titles.
All 37 titles in this series are founded upon three core gamebooks.
These three books, Windhammer, Earth and Stone, and The Jotun War trace the adventures of Halokim Vesh, a Dwarvendim thief, as he is used by the Powers of his world to save the Four Nations of Men from destruction.
Against the dangers of the Dragon Windhammer, the malevolence of the Shadowch, or the sinister machinations of the Clavern'sigh, Halokim must draw from his own courage, and the hidden magic of his world, to bring unity between Man and Oera'dim.
Only with this accomplished can all stand against a far greater danger, one that none can withstand alone.
It is envisaged that all further games produced in this series will have both a card and text version available.
An audio tutorial will also be released shortly as a guide to visually impaired players who want to get the most from this new gamebook adventure.

If a game has a new version I try to change the version number in the list but I do not move the company to the top.
If a game is small or free I usually add it to the top of the company's listing but do not move the whole company listing to the top.
I admit, this makes it harder to find all new releases, but AudioGames.net does that on their site.
My list is primarily designed to search for a type of game or the name of a game and to easily go to the web site where you can download it.
